Even before coronavirus, Federal Government data showed that health care
and social assistance was the fastest growing industry in Australia. Post covid, this industry
is believed to emerge as one of the most stable ones. The demand for well-trained nurses in
Australia shows no signs of slowing and it is estimated that Australia will require more than
100,000 nurses by 2025 hence, the need to look for overseas nurses.
Due to strong demand, registered nurses (including those in medical practice and aged care) and nurse practitioners are included in Australia’s Skilled Occupations List (SOL) and Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List (CSOL). This reflects the ongoing need for qualified professionals in the healthcare sector. Graduates can look forward to building a stable and rewarding career in nursing within Australia.
